I couldn't decide whether it would be more appropriate to use the first or third person, so I'm using the first person because it's simpler. I may change it in the future.
I'm have an AAS in Animal Science from SUNY Cobleskill. I am currently pursuing my BS in Animal and Poultry Sciences at Virginia Tech. Maroon is good, orange takes some time to get used to.
I write what I know, what I think, what I don't know, and whatever else I feel like. I don't have any credentials to mention, don't take any advice that I give you. In fact, don't believe anything I say unless you absolutely want to. I can't be held responsible.
About the Website
My former fiancé was always asking me, "What do you need a website for?" To which my obvious answer is, "Everyone else is doing it." Actually, I'm doing some writing, and mostly just adding my two cents. It also serves as a handy outlet for any photography I might happen to do.
Hosting is by DreamHost. Hosting and domain registration are both paid for by my fantastic uncle, Bill. In case you missed it, the site is powered by WordPress. The theme is hacked together and reasonably ugly, but I could give it to you if you like.
For the curious, the domain name davedot.com does have an explanation. Back when Steve first got a domain, I was absolutely thrilled by the amount of freedom granted by a paid webhost. I immediately proceeded to set up dave.homelessatnyu.com, which I just referred to as "davedot" for simplicity. Saying "dave dot homelessatnyu dot com" to someone who already understood where the site lived was just silly. I hummed and hawed about getting my own domain for a while, but it's tough when you're broke. Luckily for me, my aforementioned uncle decided that a domain name and a year of hosting would make a good Christmas present. Being that my preferred domain name is currently owned by someone who will presumably never do anything with it, I went with the next logical choice. It saves me the trouble of having to come up with something clever.

About the Photography
I take pictures with my Canon PowerShot A630. Older pictures were taken on my Kodak DX4530. As a rule I shoot everything at maximum quality and shrink it for use here. That's quality in terms of resolution and compression, not in terms of photographic skill. I don't have very much of that.
